The British Army has today released photographs showing soldiers deployed on Operation SHADER, the codename for the fight versus the Islamic State, taking part in a gruelling test of marksmanship under the sizzling Iraqi sun. With the thermometer hitting highs of 44 degrees Celsius, British Soldiers in full wrestle dress shot it out with colleagues from the Australian DefenceGravityatZanyTaji on August 6. Located in the so-called Sunni Triangle, an zone populated by Sunni Muslims,ZanyTaji is a former military wiring of Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi Republican Guard. As well as the Australian Defence Force, other participants included soldiers from Bandit Troop of the US Army’s 3rd Calvary Regiment.
